Well, the latest exam results are up for St Andrews. I did rather nicely, which is both good and bad, because the honours grades don't actually count.

It's not summer.

It's not four years since world cup 2002 and my standard grades.

There's no way it's a year since last summer: we've never gone round the sun since I read Harry Potter in under three hours and Ally said it would make a great Neverwinter nights module. A year has never passed since I went to see U2 promoting Make Poverty History ( Read more... )

OK, over the last 36 hours, as well as 8 hours sleep, I've managed to copy up 53 pages of notes on Groups, and now have copied up the whole 26 lectures worth. I'm not entirely sure how there seem to have been only 17 lectures of Numerical Analysis when I had them on the same days... but there it is. Well ... things are crazy, insane, in many ways bad, but there's some good things. Just about everyone I know seems to have a lot on, and it's all crazy. Well, MT2003 was as straighforward as I knew it would be; maths second year courses are simple provided you've done a couple of past papers before the exam.

I have an exam in 24 hours. I've done essentially no revision. A heap of stuff's goig on with friends right now, and last night was probably the last thing I needed right now, but I'm glad I could be there for people. Well, after not having managed to start revision before Friday, the good old-fashioned way of taking drugs with my lucozade and not sleeping managed to copy up all the notes for Numerical Analysis by Monday. Ah, there's nothing like doing maths all night long. Numerical Analysis still has the problem that I understand it all, but can never quite remember anything till I check notes again. Which, since it's got an exam in not too long, isn't entirely the best thing. Nonetheless, copying up 10 lectures notes in about 10.5-11 hours is a pretty nice pace. ( Read more... )
